My laptop’s in Texas, baby!
That’s right, I finally was able to make a full backup so I could have the laptop’s fan replaced. Cost me a fortune; really should’ve got that extended warranty.
The problem basically was since I ran my 12″ PowerBook G4 at full CPU load – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – the fan bearings wore down. I am advised to get a desktop computer for my 24/7 needs. Mac Mini, anyone?
Anyone else have problems with the fan bearings in their PowerBooks?
