Now, provided you have a compatible Gnutella client installed, that link should cause that client to download a copy of The Animatrix, even though I’m not directly hosting that file myself. Actually, all that’s in that link is the hash of the file and a name to save as; the network itself finds peers on the Gnutella network that have that file. It’s like BitTorrent, without the darn trackers!

Is this a crime? Is it morally wrong? A 256-bit number and a file name? You decide.
